How does the system work?
There are two simple steps as follows: 1. Create all your lists for gifts you would like to receive on those special occasions such as Christmas, Birthdays, Anniversaries etc. 2. Email the invitation to view to all your friends and family. We do the rest.
Can I change my email address?
Yes you can. When you have logged in, go to the 'My Details' page. Here you can change your email address under the 'Membership Details'. Simply type your new email address and press 'Update my details'.
Supervisors
What should a Supervisor do?
If you are a Supervisor for a child under 12 years of age, you are agreeing to provide help for that child to use our site if necessary. You are also agreeing to monitor the proper use of our site by that child.
Username and Password
What happens if I forget my password?
Press the 'Help?' button located in the 'Log in' box and then enter the username and email address you have registered with us. We will then send you an email reminder of your password.
How do I change my password?
When you have logged in, go to the 'My Details' page. Here you can change your password under the 'Login Details'. Simply type your new password over the old one and press 'Update my details'.
What happens if I forget my username?
Your username is fundamental in identifying you within our system. We have made it as clear as possible that this must be kept in a safe place at all times. This is so that this site is kept as secure and free from abuse at all times. For operational reasons we cannot send you a reminder of your username as we can do with your password. If you have lost or cannot remember your username you must re-register. Thank you for your understanding.

Wishlists
When I try to email a wishlist and select the dropdown menu, why doesn't my wishlist appear?
Your wishlists will appear and you will be able to email them only if you have items in the actual lists themselves.
How do I add a picture to my Wishlists?
On your Wishlist page, complete all the details of your gift. At the bottom of the page, you have the option to add a picture. Add the file location of your picture in this box or click 'browse' to find your picture. Select your file and press 'open'. When you press 'Add This Gift Item' your picture will be uploaded and will appear on your Wishlist.
What is a URL?
Each page on a website will have a URL. The URL is the address of the page you are on. This begins with http:// and you can find it when you type in the website address.
Do I need a URL?
You don't need to have URL details on your Wishlist. However, by providing a URL, your friends and family can see exactly what your gift item looks like and will also be able to purchase it online if they choose.
How do I add a URL to my Wishlist?
Find the web page from the online store that your gift is on and either make a note of or copy the URL. Paste or enter the URL in the gift URL box found under 'Gift Details' on your Wishlist page.
If you are editing an existing gift item then press 'Update This Gift Item'.
Wishlist Request
What is a Wishlist request?
This is an email sent to another member requesting authorisation to view their lists.
If I send a Wishlist request and the receiving member authorises via the email sent, will they be able to see my lists too?
The member that you have sent a Wishlist request to will not be able to see your lists. In order for them to view your lists they will have to send you a Wishlist request too.
Why have I received a ‘Wishlist Request’ email from myself?
You have probably sent out a ‘Request Wishlist’ email to someone who is sharing your email address. Our system automatically sends an email to anyone with the same email address.
What should I do if I receive a ‘Wishlist Request’ email from myself?
Please ignore this email as this has been generated automatically because you are using a shared email address.
Private Wishlists
What is a private Wishlist?
This is a list created in the same way as any other wishlist and is tagged as private. This means that your friends and family who are also members will not be able to view these private lists. The only way anyone can view these lists is via a personal email invitation from you.
How can I use a private Wishlist?
You may use a private Wishlist for anything you like. You may find it a useful option for surprise parties, leaving gifts or a special one-on-one list.
How do I make a Wishlist private?
Simply tick the 'Make this wishlist private' box in the Wishlist set-up page..
Friends
Why does the friend I have added to my list appear as a member, even though they haven't joined yet?
One reason this might happen is that the email address you have used for your friend is also the email address that is being used by someone else who is already a member.
This could happen, for example, if your friend is using their parent's email address and that parent is already a member with RightGift4Me.
We are currently working on this. If this is not the case, please report this matter to us using the information found on the 'Contact Us' page.
What should I do if my friend appears as a member and they haven't joined yet?
You will still need to invite your friend to view your lists on the 'Invite your friends' page. They will then be asked to register with us and will be able to view all your lists.
